A Final Export Checklist for Reels and Shorts

The final file can introduce problems that were not obvious in the editor. Check the actual export before scheduling a post.
A practical sequence
- Confirm the target platform’s current format requirements and choose a suitable aspect ratio. Keep important text away from areas covered by interface controls.
- Watch the exported file from start to finish on a phone. Check caption timing, audio balance, cuts and any blank frames.
- Inspect the cover, title and description together. Make sure the promised topic, product details and call to action agree.
- Keep the editable project, source assets and export settings organised. A correction should not require rebuilding the entire clip from memory.
An example to adapt
Release record: platform / aspect ratio / export filename / captions checked / audio checked / rights checked / reviewer.
Try this on a short sample before producing the full campaign. Keep the original asset and an editable working copy, then review the exported result on the device your audience will use. For an Indian audience, check language, names, numerals and the meaning of any offer with someone who understands the intended context.
What to check before you finish
Do not assume a successful export means a successful upload. Check the published version for compression and cropping after posting.
Watch or read the final result as a new viewer. Check whether the overall impression is honest, whether the main information is readable and whether you hold the necessary rights. A tool completing a task is not the same as the finished piece being ready to publish.
