Mixed-language speech is common in Indian creator videos, but automatic captions can mishear names, brands and English words inside a Hindi sentence. Treat transcription as a first draft.

A practical sequence

  1. Start with the cleanest audio you have and choose the closest supported language setting shown in the editor. Work on a short clip first rather than processing a long recording blindly.
  2. Review each line against the audio. Correct names, numbers and product terms manually, keeping a small spelling list for repeated words.
  3. Break captions at natural pauses and keep them away from faces and important controls. Test the exported video at actual phone size with sound muted.
  4. Watch the complete export once more, checking timing and script rendering. Save the editable project separately from the final video so corrections remain possible.

An example to adapt

Caption review list: names / numbers / mixed-language words / timing / line breaks / mobile readability.

Try this on a short sample before producing the full campaign. Keep the original asset and an editable working copy, then review the exported result on the device your audience will use. For an Indian audience, check language, names, numerals and the meaning of any offer with someone who understands the intended context.

What to check before you finish

A language appearing in a menu does not guarantee accurate Hinglish transcription. Do not publish a mistranscribed quote as someone’s actual words.

Watch or read the final result as a new viewer. Check whether the overall impression is honest, whether the main information is readable and whether you hold the necessary rights. A tool completing a task is not the same as the finished piece being ready to publish.
